Auriana's Time

Well, my deal is that I turned 21 in October 2011 and I have just hit under 80kgs. With obesity and other health issues being a problem in my family, I didn't want this to end up catching up to me. My mum and I decided to complete Cohen's together and even though we are we are only 20 days in, it is safe to say that we are really happy with our progression. I have lost 23.5cm from my body since the start date and about 5kgs (needs to be confirmed at my 4 week mark which is on the 14th June 2012).

My whole family is being really supportive and my boyfriend has tried many ways of tempting me to see how strong my will power is and think he is starting to get a little disappointed with the fact that he isn't winning. He would never let me eat anything I am not supposed to, but he just wants me to say 'Yeah, OK I will have some'. No chance in that happening!!

Being 21, people may not think that I need this program, but that isn't the case. I have struggled with weight issues my whole life and I really believe that Cohen's will help me be a better version of myself for years to come.

I just thought I would jump onto the forum and introduce myself and I guess keep updates on my progress.

Hey Auri,

Why would people think you don't need this program........age has nothing to do with Cohen's, health does of course..........if people are telling you that, then don't listen to them sweetie........it's lovely that you're young and doing this for yourself, the only thing about age with Cohen's is that Dr Cohen will set a lore goal weight for you than if you were much older!!!!!

Aren't men all the same???? Doesn't matter who it is or how long they've been around, they will always give it a go!!! My husband has been around in my life for 19 years now, and he still tries to outwit me.......but, never going to happen.

You sound positive and motivated.....so good luck for your 4 week weigh in, I'll look forward to hearing how you go!!!
Insanity - doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result!!!!

Hi Auri

Well done. I'm turning 30 this year and had had enough. I've also struggled with my weight my whole life. As my grandparents would say i was always a frumpy baby. Well i put an end to it this year.

You are doing an awesome job to have lost that much in 20 days. Keep up the fantastic job. Its great that you can do with it your mum. Having that support is great. And i'm excited that your family are right behind you. Makes the journey so worth while.
All the best and keep going. Your doing great

Thanks for your responses.

I really am having a blast doing the program. I have my 4 week weigh-in in 2 days and I am really excited to see my results. I finally can fit my booty in a pair of my work pants (and they are actually loose now)!! :D

I am going on a holiday to Melbourne, Gold Coast & Fiji next week for 2 weeks and I just wanted to know if any one is from around these areas. I am just needing some tips on places to go to eat that can offer foods for myself and also my boyfriend. I really think I will be fine as I am now understanding the sizes of foods on my program and what sorts of food I am allowed to have, but if anyone has any extra info, that would be great.

I had my 4 week weigh in yesterday, and I pleased to confirm that I lost 5.6kgs :D

I am very happy with the results and now I only have 16-19kgs to lose, depending on which end of my goal weight my body wants to go for. If I continue losing the weight at this rate - I will be there in no time.

Off to a holiday next week so I know I am going to be tempted, but I think I will be fine. Here is to hoping!! ;)

So, I am back from my holiday and had a brilliant time!! Fiji was amazing.

Unfortunately, will power did not win. I came off my program half way through my holiday. I know, not very good at all. I did continue to measure myself whilst on holidays. Lost 5cms the first week and 3cms the second week. I weighed myself the morning I got home and was happy to see that I actually didn't put on any weight. I do believe that the activities we were doing actually helped burn off the food.

Been home for 4 days now and back on the program. Weighed myself this morning and it is good to see that I am down another 1.8kgs since coming home. I usually do not weigh myself, but I did just want to make sure things were moving again.

I completely understand that coming off the program will push my weightloss back by a few weeks - but gees it was a good holiday!!! :D

Anyway, I have my 8 week weigh in on Thursday, hopefully my consultant isn't to mad with me... ;)
