- I took a liquid Chromium supplement every morning. I just put one capful in the water I take my vitamins with and it has no taste, smell or colour. Liquid tends to work a bit quicker than the tablets (I tried them too). The clinic also recommends Blackmore’s Sugar Balance tablets – if you would prefer a tablet.
- I also found things to distract myself when I had cravings: I brushed my teeth, went for a walk, prepared my next couple of meals, watched my recorded tv shows, had a long bath, phoned a friend to have an overdue chat… by the time I did one of these, the cravings had passed and I felt stronger for it.
Over time the cravings have gotten better and I think my blood sugar level may be normal now. It takes time, but it is worth it!
